“Day and Night” exhibition
This month’s windows display is dedicated to the spectacular exhibition “Il giorno e il notte. From landscape painting to silent cinema ”. This is the title of the exhibition curated by Carlo Montanaro and Giancarlo Pauletto, inaugurated on Saturday 25 May, at 5.30 pm and which will be visible throughout the summer season, until 13 October 2019, in the Saggitaria Gallery in Pordenone.
The main purpouse of this exhibition is to highlight the power and magic of the image, and its transformation into a dynamic vision and cinema projection, drawing from the Carlo Montanaro Archive, which will offer the public etchings, chromoliths, albumins, imbibitions, toning and objects such as the optical camera and the megalithescope, in a path that will range from the first form of spectacle to images, to the threshold of the magic of silent cinema.
Exhibition, promoted by the Pordenone Cultural Initiative Center and organized in collaboration with La Fabbrica del Vedere, which is supported by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Friuli Foundation, with the collaboration of Le Giornate del Cinema Muto, will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, with free admission.
